The three risks we plan for
When we visit a home with young children, we look at three separate things rather than one. The first is the fall itself: the height and how a child could reach the edge. The second is the climb: a chair, a planter stand, an air conditioner ledge or a window ledge that turns a barrier into a step. The third is the opening: a window or a door that a child can open.
Only after those three are clear do we decide the cable spacing and the fixing height.
- Fall from balcony rails, parapets and terrace edges
- Climbing aids left near the rail - chairs, planters, cycles
- Windows and doors a young child can open
- Open staircases and landing railings
Every child safety grills job is quoted after a site visit or from measurements you send us, so the price reflects your actual opening. See how installation works.
